Explosion kills 6 in Russia

MOSCOW, Feb. 10 (UPI) -- Six people died following a gas explosion and fire at a Russian construction site Sunday, officials said.

The explosion occurred shortly after midnight in the northern Russian Republic of Komi at a dormitory housing the construction workers. Firefighters saved 13 others from the burning building, RIA Novosti said.

No cause was given for what triggered the explosion.
