Olympic officials to hear bids for 2020

MOSCOW, April 13 (UPI) -- Delegates at an international meeting in Moscow prepared to hear bids for the 2020 Summer Olympics from Tokyo, Madrid and other cities.

The General Assembly of the Association of National Olympic Committees opened Friday at Moscow's World Trade Center and is to hear the proposals Saturday, ITAR-Tass reported.

The association includes representatives from more than 200 countries.

Cities expected to give video presentations include Tokyo, Madrid, Istanbul, Turkey, the Azerbaijani capital, Baku, and Qatari's capital, Doha.
